GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- A poll released Friday by Trafalgar Group shows Tudor Dixon within four points of a vulnerable Gretchen Whitmer.
The survey of 1,080 likely voters found Dixon closing the gap to just 4.1 points despite over $8 million in attack ads already run against her.
The poll, conducted by the Trafalgar Group from August 22-25, found Whitmer leading 49.4%-45.3%. The Trafalgar Group has a strong track record in Michigan as the only public pollster to call the state right for Trump in 2016.
This comes after an independent poll of 1,365 likely voters released last week by Fabrizio Ward for AARP Michigan showed Dixon down just 5 points. Fabrizio Ward is run by Tony Fabrizio, President Trump's chief pollster in 2016 & 2020.
Despite Whitmer's attempt to change the subject through an onslaught of attack ads, Tudor Dixon is earning support for her vision to dramatically improve Michiganders' quality of life by increasing jobs, improving schools, reducing crime, building reliable infrastructure, and ensuring affordable energy for all.
