Tudor Dixon Rallies Fired Up Crowd in West Michigan

October 5, 2022

Holland, Michigan—Republican Gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon and her running mate Shane Hernandez today hosted their second Freedom Rally at Marlena's Bistro and Pizzeria to highlight the lockdown warriors who stood up to Gretchen Whitmer and her overreaching bureaucracy. Tudor was joined by Marlena Hackney, owner of Marlena's Bistro and Pizzeria, Bill Huizenga, U.S. Congressman (MI-2), Angela Rigas, State Representative candidate (HD-79), and Nancy DeBoer, former Holland Mayor and State Representative candidate (HD-86).

Hundreds of supporters filled the tables and booths at Marlena's Bistro for the event and a massive spillover crowd gathered outside in the parking lot. Tudor addressed both groups, calling out Gretchen Whitmer's extreme lockdown policies that crushed local businesses like Marlena's and directly addressed what a Dixon-Hernandez Administration would do instead to make Michigan open for business.

"Gretchen Whitmer's draconian and extreme lockdown policies are still impacting Michiganders who are struggling to make ends meet,"said Tudor Dixon. "Just this week, it was reported that Michigan small businesses closed at a higher rate than any other state in the country. That is her economic legacy. She singlehandedly shut down our state and continues to rule as a tyrannical and all-powerful queen. This November, we will take back our state, support our businesses, partner with parents, and stand up for common sense policies."
